Strolling Along Boracay Rock

Boracay certainly has some of the world's best beaches. But if you want to see something different on your stay there, you could wander around one of the island's scenic attractions - the Boracay Rock and Little Boracay Rock.

Located just off the east coast of the island and directly opposite white beach, these rocks boast of fascinating natural formations some of which were completely undercut by the sea and the top overhangs the recessed base. Between Boracay Rock and Little Boracay Rocks, shells, corals and starfish abound, making it favorite wandering spot for the local residents and tourists alike.

Here are some shots I have taken around the area:

In Between Boracay Rock and Little Boracay Rock

Starry, Starry Starfish

"Someday I Will be A Coral"

Low Tide Walking

Reminiscing

The best time to go there is during low tide where you can wade thru the ankle-deep shallow waters and observe the sealife such as urchins and starfish as well as small fishes and budding corals.

To go there, if you are staying in white beach, you have to cross the main road and pass thru the rural dirt road of Manoc-manoc leading to the Bulabog Wharf. From there, you could just wander on top of the rocks or just walk under it and into the sea.

Personal Note:

Today will be the last Sunday (and the last 2 of 8 exams) in the 2008 BAR Examinations. Two years ago, I have endured four Sundays of BAR Exams to be a lawyer. Every last Sunday is definitely one of the most memorable anf triumphant event in every lawyers' life. So to all my friends who have taken this year's bar exam, congratulations to all of you and may our good LORD guide you in the coming days of waiting for the results.
