Sagada's Marlboro Country

If you are looking for the best view on top of the world and wild horses, then Marlboro Country is the place to go. Located in Lamagan which is on the western part of Sagada, the place is one of the highest points of Sagada.

Like most of the attractions in Sagada, a trip to Marlboro Country required an accredited guide. So, the Tourist Information center provided us one. We rented a van that took us to the foot of the hill on a rough, stony path. We then trekked for about thirty minutes to reach the summit of the Lamagan.

The views from there are simply spectacular. The bright, clear sky complemented the greens of the place. Rolling hills and a view of a community below is such a delight. Too bad, we didn't see any wild horses but we saw and pass by several of their droppings :). But nevertheless, the view from there is more than enough to make this trip worthwhile.   4. Wow this is so beautiful. The trees are so tall and it make you all looked so tiny. The scenery is so superb and the air must be very fresh.

  17. this is the part of Sagada that we didn't explore. i first learned about our own Marlboro Country from Howie Severino's Side Trip. di ba marijuana country 'to?:P

  22. I smiled when you said Marlboro country :) In Baguio, when we took the horse ride, the guide took us to their version of Marlboro country too hehe.. very nice place. I'm sure Sagada is much bigger and unspoiled :)

    most of my childhood summers were spent there
    but it is not as scenic as the marlboro country na pinuntahan mo

  34. I've ben going back and forth to Sagada (and Banaue) since the mid 90s but have never done Marlboro Country and have been wanting to... Nice view indeed and too bad no horses, they're really hard to spot daw talaga. Nice shots! Makes me want to hop on a bus tonight! :-)
