A Weekend of Everything That Flies (1 of 2)

There is something in the air that day... and I don't mean those cheesy stuff of emotional rides and anticipations. But... literally, there is something, err, a lot of things in the air that day.

The 15th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta was held February 11-14 at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga. It was organized by awesome celebrity pilot Captain Joy Roa of Asian Air Safari (if you do not know him, he has the voice of Paolo Abrera and the face of Lou Veloso).

I drove of early Saturday morning traversing SCTEX but unfortunately, I missed the Hot Air Balloon Flight scheduled very early in the morning. Although I missed the main event, there were other activities that day that will keep your eye in the sky like paragliding exhibitions, ACFC Ultralight / Microlight Aircraft Formation Flights & Flour Bombing, AFP/Civilian skydiving exhibition, helicopter flight display, light aircraft balloon-bursting Competition, Philippine Coast Guard Rescue Demonstration, kite flying exhibitions, paragliding exhibition and the hot air balloon night glow. Having missed the hot air balloon flight, I am keenly anticipating the latter. Here are some shots of the event:

More on paragliders and amazing show on land and air in part 2 on my next post.
