Batanes : Rolling Hills

Look-Up : Rolling Hills of Basco

I picture myself running playfully after my lady love in the rolling hills of Batanes. "Habulin mo ko, habulin mo ko" she quips as she sway past the wooden posts that serve as markers and sashays in the a field full of flowers. Floating like an angel in her flowing white dress, I tried to catch her not knowing that we have been running the entire length of about three kilometers on the way up. And when I am about to reach her at the top, she tripped on a protruding bark and slowly rolled-down continuously to the bottom of the hill. Then I said... "Naknampucha, kaya pala Rolling Hills!"

Pardon my French but this is what this place can do to you. It is a green dream where your imaginations can run wild. A place where all your creative juices can flow, and a place where every nook and cranny tells you a story. From the verdant green to the blue skies... from the resident cows and carabao to the unending scenery of Mount Iraya and stretches of beach below. The Rolling Hills of Batanes is like living in your dreams.

How about my lady love? Don't worry, I rolled all the way down too where her open arms are waiting to catch me. Did she catch me? I dunno, I woke-up already!

    1. Mag-abang lang ng promo. Most of travel bloggers I know got their trip for less than 5K roundtrip. Tyagaan lang :)

  5. This post had me laughed out loud. Imagine, I was so seriously reading and when I reach the end part, I realized it was a dream hahahaha.

Batanes is Batanes, but similar hills can be found din sa place ko in Sibuyan Island in Romblon. We used to run going to the top of those hills and fly kites. It's a care free thing to do. Ang sarap especially during the amihan season kasi malakas ang hangin of a monsoon wind from Japan.

Ang ganda ng mga photos mo, pwede ipa develop ng large size at ipa frame :) :)

  7. We all are running up our own rolling hills... chasing someone, chasing the sunset and most of the time chasing our own shadows. The insurmountable attempt often ends when we decided to stop and let the hills roll for us and let go of that someone, the sunset, the shadow.
