Selfie Sunday : Sony Boy of Stories of Wandering Feet and Mind

Our featured blogger in Selfie Sunday is the man behind Stories of the Wandering Feet & Mind (STWF&M), Sonyboy Fugaban. He is a proud Filipino, an accidental stenographer, a student, a self-proclaimed traveler and amateur photographer, a health buff, a licensed teacher, a parent, a blabbermouth, and a struggling servant of the Earth.

The advent of this blog is explained by his hunger to share the stories of his Wandering Feet (i.e., stories and photos that will particularly promote the pulchritude of the places he set foot on, most especially the Philippines) and Mind (i.e., grammar pet peeves, environmentalism, teaching experiences, etcetera)–occasionally.

When he learned about that famous travel quote by St. Augustine, his hunger grew exponentially. He then vowed to read not just a page but several pages of that proverbial book. Then, he got featured on WordPress’ Freshly Pressed (“Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea“), published one article both in and on Arab News (“Indians dominate the 1st CFO Badminton Tournament 2013“), and became a member of the Philippines’ most elite travel group–Pinoy Travel Bloggers. The rest is history.

When asked about his favorite selfie photo above, Sony Boy quipped "The photo was taken inside the biggest mall (Dharan in Dammam) in Saudi Arabia. I never saw how good it is to have my braces until that picture came. I had always thought they look bad on me. Moreover, the photo makes me remember the first ever chance for me to travel outside the walls Riyadh."
