Hong Kong's Teddy Bear Expo

They are cute, cuddly and many times better than your boyfriend. Teddy Bears has been there for more than a century. There are numerous stories on how they started but the most famous one is that it was named after US President Theodore Roosevelt who have ordered the mercy killing of a young bear which was wounded in the hunt.

And while waiting for my ride home from Hong Kong, I was lucky to chance upon this Teddy Bears and Dolls Mini Expo where Teddy Bears created by award-winning Hong Kong artists are on display. The Expo featured Teddy Bears of different colors, shapes and sizes. Most are showcased via diorama with varying themes.

I dunno, I am not a Teddy Bear person. In fact, I don't own one although I remember to have frequently watched care bears with my sisters when I was a kid. But surely, these colorful and hugable toys will caught your attention once they are all lined-up and displayed for everyone to see.

So this post is for all the Teddy Lovers out there who wants their Teddies jazzed-up. And if you don't like Teddies, as long as you love someone who likes Teddies, this post is for you too.

As I start my Hong-Kong series, I have to set-aside my backpack for awhile and trade it with a lunch box because this and the upcoming posts will be for kids and kids at heart. So expect to see Mickey, Donald and the gang as this series move on.

  5. "Teddy Bears are better than your Boyfriends?"

Super weird itong statement na to Atty. Two things: its either you justify singleness or you wished you were a teddy. Hahaha.

Lets put it this way: Teddy Bears are better if its from your boyfriends. :-)
