Laguna: Lanzones Falls

Lanzones Falls in Mount Romelo
Leisure is a form of silence, not noiselessness. It is the silence of contemplation that occurs when we let our minds rest on a rosebud, a child at play, a divine mystery, or a waterfall.

In our youth, is within our adventurous heart to chase waterfalls. But as we grow older and gain wisdom, we learn not to chase something we think we need but in reality, we do not. We learn to stick with what we know and be happy with what we have.

Seems heavy right? Good thing we can always explain something literally and that is what I had experience in Mount Romelo - to chase waterfalls literally.
A Close Second
There are at least half a dozen waterfalls in the vicinity of Mount Romelo and Lanzones Falls is one of the easier ones to navigate. It is directly in the path of the bigger Buruwisan Falls and in fact, just a few minutes walk from Buruwisan Falls.

A Closer Look
Although the length of this falls is shorter, this falls offer lots of vantage point for photographers to make their own masterpiece. Waters flowing and cascading through boulders and rocks make for nice soft shots and the shades from the green foliage above sets the perfect tone for beautiful keepsakes.

Tranquility in Paradise
One thing that puzzles me though is why they have called this falls Lanzones. My only guess is that Lanzones trees once thrive in the area.

With this, I end my short series on Mount Romelo. It is a worthy weekend trip and a cool place to go back to because there are still several falls there to be explored and experience.

But wait, there is more, here is a video taken by my good buddy Lantaw:
