Nagsasa Cove Sunset

Sometimes there are great arrays of colors, too many colors that you can define. Shades of primary colors... blue, red and yellow and just everything in between. Sometimes its more subdued... a monotone of varied hues... mostly golden, such as the case that time at Nagsasa Cove.

One of life's great pleasures is witnessing the sunset. It's symbolical to some as it represents a gift from heaven allowing us to witness the end of the day with a promise of another one the next day. It's also magical to some because no sunset is identical for there will always be variations of clouds, colors, foregrounds and other unexpected things that may show anytime. It's also a blessing to most because it provides us a spectacular show that will soothe us the rest of the day.

The best spot for me to watch sunset is on a beach with the air's gentle breeze playing beautiful music in unison with the sounds of the waves. Call me melodramatic but let me recount the best things to do while watching sunset:

1. Sitting on sand with San Mig Lights on hand.
2. Just Stare until the darkness envelopes the place.
3. Cuddle with someone dear.
4. Shoot. Ideally with friends.
5. Reminisce', be envigorated and move on!

About Nagsasa Cove-

Nagsasa Cove is formerly one of the Zambales' best kept secret. While most travelers go to either Anawangin or Capones, few backpackers venture farther to Nagsasa Cove. Nagsasa Cove can be reached via an hour's boat ride from Pundaquit Beach in San Antonio, Zambales. The boat ride is moderate to rough and it is recommended to travel before midday.

Accommodation in Nagsasa Cove is mainly divided in two parts. The left side of the cove (fronting the sea) has several cottages that can be rented. The right side of the cove is more of a backpacker's place where you need to pitch your tent for the night. But anywhere you may want to go, these sides are just few minutes walk away from each other and are just separated by shallow stream.

The best thing to do there is relax.

  17. It's been a while I haven't been to a beach. The last time I was on a beach, was summer in 2012 with the kids in Samal. I hope we can be back again so we can shoot amazing sunsets.

  22. Oh yes, love those sunsets too and I must agree with you, the best sunsets are often witnessed by the sea.

I didn't know that Nagsasa has cottages that can be rented already. Didn't notice a few years ago.

    Great shots!
