Yolanda

Typhoon Yolanda is one, if not, the biggest disaster of our generation. Its grim aftermath was beyond comprehension. Dead people, destructed villages, unprepared government, suffering… all depressing.

But Yolanda somehow triggered the macrocosm of our society straight towards our face. She painted to us how we are as a people facing this fate of adversity. Our polarized criticisms, support system, political bickering and failure of systems are clear manifestations of our collective thoughts as one society. We may be facing all forms of disputes, especially our trust and faith to our government and its leaders but everything is part of a nation's dynamism.

Now unfolding is the shaping of a new history. Soon this will dwell in the past and the future will always be better than the present.

Right now, we all need to participate; if you burst to criticize then be the best in that; if you collaborate and help then be the best in it; if you intend to be an observer then be it. But we all need to think deep.

Remember that the future will always be better than the present and Yolanda will bring the best in us in the future.

BE STRONG PILIPINAS!

  3. I love this part. Could not agree more. "Right now, we all need to participate; if you burst to criticize then be the best in that; if you collaborate and help then be the best in it; if you intend to be an observer then be it."
