Selfie Sunday : Edwin the LakBay Diva

Lak Bay at 40 feet Under The Sea

Edwin aka Lak Bay is an irony. Take his "Diva" title for example. We call someone a diva if he is a primadonna who wants all the attention to himself. Very much unlike Lak Bay whom friends say is a very shy and unassuming person.

Rather than "divA", "divE" is more appropriate for this multi-awarded Cebuano travel blogger for has that insatiable thirst to be underwater. Last year, he has dived almost once a week, in fact he spent more time traveling underwater than traveling on the road. His diving adventures in Gilutongan Channel, Pescador Island and Moalboal to name a few, are testaments to his love for the sea and those beautiful creatures living on it. And we should count ourselves lucky for Lak Bay is unselfishly sharing his underwater adventures thru awesome photographs and stories in his blog www.lakbaydiva.com

When asked to describe the above photo, our Lakbay Diva has this to say: “We are but one with the ocean. Nothing can get cooler than this. Literally. At 40 feet.”

Well, we believe you Edwin, for if there is a travel blogger who knows how it feels to be deep under the sea, it would definitely be you.

  2. I'm back :) lols! And I guess I've bee missing few entries or so I thought.

Anyway, I'm catching up now hehe

Diving reminded me of my childhood until teener days, My cousins and I frequent the nearby sea to splash in and dive at about 20 feet without underwater gears - that's how "tapang" we are - wild and care-free noon. Unafraid of the danger that the lack of gears would bring. Pero, God never puts us in danger though.

At ang swerte naman ang travel blogger friend mo kasi he has the ample time to do just that. I've been missing to plummet under the sea with our "pana" to hunt for fish. I wish I can do it once I had the opportunity to go back to my ancestral house in our province.

    1. I remember to do dives only if being dared to and if I will have no choice because all my company is doing it. I am not really fond of the underwater because I easily lose my breath. Kaya I really applaud those who do this things like Lak Bay.

Pero pag snorkel ok sakin like what I did in Coron :)
