Panagbenga 2008 Float Parade Part 2

Here is the second part of Baguio's Panagbenga Float Parade held last February 24. Flower Floats from Purefoods, LBC Bank, Mighty Bond, Jollibee, Smart, Cebuana Lhuiller, People Support, Yellow Cab and ABS-CBN among others are featured here. The ABS-CBN Float boast of KIm Chu, Gerald Anderson, Jo Mari Yllana and Jodi Sta. Maria.

So here are some of the shots I have taken of the Philippine version of Pasadena Rose Parade:

  14. Hi Lawstude :)

Anyway I really don't know anything about the festival except that they use flowers for their floats. I'm wondering if everything's from Baguio...the flowers I mean.

    =)

  20. Thank you everyone for your comments.

@ carlotta - its a good thing that the weather in Baguio is favorable for the flowers so i think they will have longer leeway on finishing their spectacular floats.

@ ginabeloved - i braved the crowd just like everyone. maaga lang talaga ako pumewesto para nasa harap ng parade.

@ azrael - wow you must be very proud of that.

    @ alicesg - a agree 100%

@ tina - very fun indeed

  21. @ elizabeth - most of them are flowers, some i noticed were ornamental decorations and colorful boards.

@ quin - these beauties are all smiles. they must really be enjoying themselves.

@ andrea - yeah, i know the feeling.

@ joy - i hope you could see the parade in the future. it is something we pinoys could be proud of.

    @ bw - i couldn't agree more.

  22. @ sidney - they are partly sponsored by the local government. i guess it's a way of paying back the tourists for what they have contributed to Baguio.

@ lazarus - i was in the overpass at both days.

@ shades - you're welcome. its my pride and honor to share the beauty of my country.

@ abaniko - aga ko sa overpass para sa pwesto ko. siksikan talaga.

@ vernaloo - i think some of them might be imported and others might be from adjoining municipalities and provinces.

  23. @ gmg - i already expected a heavy crowd so i positioned myself two hours before the parade just to shoot these photos.

    @ alex - thank you.

@ kyels - talaga, every float seems to outdo each other.

@ kegler - these floats were all lined up in an oval for final judging. afterwards, the crowd can pick these flowers for souvenirs.

@ ash - thank you too.
