Guimaras : From Dusk to Dawn at Alubihod Beach

Glass-like Waters

"I love the beach". But you know that already so let me rephrase. "I love hanging-out on the beach". I don't like to swim or ride on a boat. I don't like to play with waves or build sand castles on the shore. But I love the beach, err, I love hanging-out in the beach where I stare at the sea all day and watch the sky with the sun setting or rising into the sea.

Foodstagram Friday : Port Barton Breakfast

Big Breakfast at Ayette's Bamboo House and Restaurant

In earlier days, we often find ourselves craving for modern comforts while we are tucked far away from civilizations.  We give away some comforts in exchange with the very laid back ambiance of a particular place. We used to let go of comfy beds, internet/wifi, cellfone signals and all-to-common snacks in order to enjoy the almost virginal beauty of mother nature.

Guimaras : Guisi Lighthouse and Ruins

On to the Lighthouse
A disintegrating metal tower amidst a ruined stone outpost knotted by roots and vines made up the Guimaras attraction known as the Guisi Lighthouse. Known locally as Faro de Punta Luzaran, this 18th century Spanish-colonial lighthouse beside the beach marks the southern entrance to the Island of Panay and built to guide fishermen and sailors passing the Iloilo and Guimaras strait.

Selfie Sunday : Mica the Senyorita

Mica Forever in London
Mica considers London as her most favorite city in the whole world. It is her life long dream to visit Great Britain’s capital mainly because of that all-girls power group, the Spice Girls. She remembered being giddy when she first saw the Tower Bridge because of a scene in Spice World The Movie where Posh Spice drove the Spice Bus crazily because of the time bomb.

The Happy Roadworthy Couple in Pulag

It is the penultimate week of the love month and I must admit that the cheesy bug sometimes bit me. So with your indulgence, let me share a selfie of two of my good friends in and outside the travel blogging world. Erick and Rocel both love photography, traveling and rock and roll music and the first time I saw them together, I know that they are meant to be together, forever.

Guimaras : Guisi Beach

Bright and Sunny Day

After spending few hours at the town of Jordan and buying some lunch for me and my guide, we headed southwest to the town of Nueva Valencia to visit Guisi Beach. This beach is popular for two things (1) it's magnificent seascape of golden yellow sand, emerald green waters and rock formations and (2) it's lovely sunset. So this place should be included in every Guimaras itinerary.
