Karl in location at Villa Tortuga, Taal Batangas |
Warning! Don't head to his travel blog, Turista Trails on an empty stomach for you will surely drool. What makes Karl's blog different from other travel blogs is that he tries to mix in with his travels the local delicacies of a particular place or the specialties of a restaurant he personally tried or in an event he is invited.
Karl travels to distant and nearby places, eat out or snack along the way. Sometimes, he gets invited to try stuff or to test stuff. For as long as it's going to enrich his life for the better, he do it. Life, after all, for him,is filled with great possibilities that we just have to make most of them happen.
Asked why the above Selfie is one of his favorites?, Karl said "I took this turn-of-the-century cosplay shot at Villa Tortuga in Taal, Batangas while my parents, who were also clad in vintage clothing, were having their photos taken nearby. I love it because I get to spend my time with my folks doing something fancier than just dining out or seeing a movie. We were all experiencing history on our own terms but still with respect to heritage of those who lived before us. I was clad in something that rich people in the Philippines wore in the 1800s I was told. After this selfie, my temporary travel credo was "making history with every single day."
Through his blog, Karl is sharing this travel and foodie aspect of his life because he wanted others to find inspiration from the good that comes out of designing one's life. According to him, we are sometimes tossed back and forth in life not knowing why we're doing what we're doing. It does not have to be that way. You can design your life, move around it at your own pace, and discover what's worth coming home to.
Karl sounds exactly like the guide I like to find/have when I travel!! A great post as always, Oman! Thank you! Hope your weekend is going well!!

DeleteThanks Sylvia and Vanessa. I dunno if Karl works as a guide. I think he is available to review events but nonetheless, I am sure he would make a great guide with his extensive knowledge on the places he has visited and the food he has tasted. :)
