The Modest Mimbalot Falls

Short, short, short. These three same words could amply describe my Mimbalot Falls experience in Iligan City. It is a short falls measuring just about 90 feet from the top to the pool basin. It is also a short trek of about 20 minutes from the main highway. And a short stay is all you need to appreciate and enjoy the surrounding views of the Falls.

"Tinago" literally translates to hidden, but contrary to the word, no beauty is hidden in this popular attraction. Located in a deep ravine, you need to trek approximately 500 descending steps in the winding staircase to reach the falls.
