Mountain Province : Climbin' Mount Kupapey

View from the Top
Mount Kupapey is one of the two most-often climbed mountains of Maligcong. It's a moderate two-hour trek from the base where the Elementary School is located. It is best to start your climb around 4 in the morning so you could watch the sunrise and the sea clouds over the rice terraces of Maligcong.

Zambales: Revisiting Nagsasa Cove

Paraiso
It was my second time in Nagsasa Cove. The first time was in the heat of summer about half a decade ago when I went there with my travel buddies. This time, it was a rainy camping trip with some of my office buddies. What has changed?

Rizal : Pinto Museum

Bagets on Stairs
It's a massive collection of modern art - painting, sculptures, art pieces scattered all over an old Spanish Hacienda. Every nook and cranny is instagrammable. Good for a couple of hours wandering!

Batangas: Matabungkay

Serenity
Classic. Nothing fancy, nothing great. Just the same old classic feel that has endured beach-goers for generations. Matabungkay of the 70s is still the same as Matabungkay of the 2010s.

Aurora: Dipaculao

Cast in Stone
Geographically, it is no longer Baler but Dipaculao in Aurora. The best place to wait for the sunrise in err, Baler, is in Ampere Beach.

I know, I was few minutes too late to catch the best lights, but then again, the hurling wind brushing on face as I rush riding a bike was a consolation worth savoring.

Zambales : Potipot

Drift
What I like about the place. - Boat ride to the island is just ten minutes from the jump-off point. Beautiful sunrise. Cream sand. Clean restroom. Good beach. Beautiful landscape views.

What I don't like about the place. - It get get too crowded. Lots of people mean lots of noise, garbage and less personal space. Commercialized. Not cheap.

If you decide to go... find your own place at the rear side of the island!

My Top 10 Travels of 2018

This post will be a little different. The Year 2018 was both a struggle and growth professionally. I was promoted to a higher corporate position, meaning, there will be less travel for me. Travel in a sense of geography, that is. Because where your feet cannot travel, your mind will.
