The Gateway Arch is a massive 630-foot monument in St. Louis, MIssouri, USA. Clad i stainless steel and built in the form of a weighted catenary arch, it is considered the world's tallest arch and the tallest man-made monument in the Western Hemisphere.

It was built as a monument to the westward expansion of the United States and officially dedicated to the "American People". It is commonly referred to as "The Gateway of the West" and is the centerpiece of Gateway Arch National Park. It has become the international recognized symbol of St. Louis and one of its most popular tourist destination.
