Foodstagram Friday : Dong Bei's Dumplings

Dong Bei's Dumplings
Either steamed or deep-fried, pork or kutchai , the star of our Binondo Food Trip has always been the Dumplings at Dong Bei. Who could resist that mouth-watering treat of fresh kutchai or meaty ground pork wrapped in special flour wrapper and dipped into that chili-vinegar-soy sauce mixture with all that flavor bursting in your mouth as you chew each dumpling away.

Not me. So, whenever I go to Binondo, either by myself or to meet other travel bloggers, dumplings of Dong Bei shall always be on the list.

Dong Bei is that little chinese food shop located at Yuchengco Street in Bonondo, Manila. And if you happen to be in the area, try also the Hakaw of Wye Ying and the toasted Siopao to satisfy your dumpling cravings.

  2. I still have to stride the alleys of Binondo and dine in one of its many restaurants. The last time I went there was way back 2011 when we're on our way to Divi for some wedding-related accessories hunt.

But, I know how to make dumplings (yabang mode! lols). You have to taste my home-made dumplings and lumpia hahaha! Too bad I'm too far away to invite you hehe.

Well, the photos showcased all succulent and mouth-watering treats. At ginutom ako ha hehehe! Hmmm..makagawa nga hehe.

During the early years of my blogging life I created this segment in my blog entitled "The Neophyte Cook" - showcasing my own version of the existing foodies out there. But as time goes by di ko ma-maintain ang regular cooking session eh, kaya di ko ma update hehehe.

    Happy eating! :) :)

    1. This is just my take. Dumplings are much more softer and less starchy. Also, it is less commercialized and less mass-produced.

Para kasing pangit pakinggan yung Master Dumplings pag nasa carts na :)
