It was a very brief trip to paradise. We went there to catch the sunset of the scenic Saranggani Bay but the sun decided to play hide and seek with the clouds. And before the moon eventually rule the sky... we were on the road again.
Gumasa Beach in Glan, Saranggani is compared by many to Boracay because of the white sand, long and wide shores and scenic rock formations. But I believe comparison should end there. The ambiance here is more serene and definitely it is far less commercial. In fact, there were only few tourists there despite the beginning of the summer season and they either come from South Cotabato or other neighboring provinces.
All-in-all, I think we have spent just a couple of hours in this beach and that was it. A fast side-trip, if there was one. I would definitely go back here and spend longer time exploring the place. In the meantime, please enjoy these pics:

From General Santos City, go to the terminal near KCC Mall and board a van bound to Glan. The trip to Glan terminal is Php 70 and will take you about 30 - 45 minutes. From Glan terminal, take a habal-habal or motorcycle to Gumasa White Beach. Fare is about Php 25 to Php 30 each.
